Chicago, IL, (July 19, 2004)—Kenneth Blickenstaff, co-founder of the corporate integrity and investigative services firm BlickenWolf LLC, has been elected president of the Greater Chicago Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Blickenstaff will serve a one-year term as president; he most recently served as vice president of the organization. The Chicago Area Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is one of more than 100 worldwide chapters affiliated with the ACFE. The primary mission of the ACFE is to reduce the incidence of fraud and white-collar crime and assist the membership in its detection. The Greater Chicago Chapter represents a broad range of professions including accountants, auditors, investigators, federal and state law enforcement personnel, loss prevention specialists, attorneys and prosecutors, managers and executives, academicians, anti-fraud consultants.
Blickenstaff has been an ACFE member for 10 years. He is a former Deloitte & Touche partner, past president of the National Association of Medicaid Fraud Units, and a former law enforcement officer assigned exclusively to healthcare fraud prosecution. Throughout his career Blickenstaff has provided internal investigations, voluntary disclosures, corporate compliance programs and risk assessments. He has extensive experience with Corporate Integrity Agreements, conducts a broad range of healthcare investigations, and provides fraud awareness and prevention to clients. He also assists healthcare payers in establishing special investigation units and fraud detection techniques as part of claims processing.
