Milwaukee, WI (August 27, 2004)—BlickenWolf LLC, was pleased to present the first meeting of the S.E. Wisconsin Compliance Officer’s Discussion Forum held Tuesday, September 7, 2004, from 7:30 am to 9:00 am at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Room 70D21. BlickenWolf principal Carmen Wolf led the discussion. The first discussion forum will cover auditing and monitoring. Thereafter, meetings will be scheduled on quarterly basis to address issues as identified by a recent compliance officer survey conducted by BlickenWolf.
Healthcare fraud is the third most common type of fraud in the United States behind corporate fraud and government corruption. To address growing concerns and changing compliance regulations, BlickenWolf is offering meetings to provide a forum where compliance officers can share ideas, concerns, and best practices. Carmen Wolf has extensive experience conducting and managing a broad range of healthcare investigations as well as providing fraud awareness and prevention methods to clients. Ms. Wolf specializes in assisting providers with risk assessments as part of the overall development and implementation of corporate compliance programs. She has consistently helped clients identify underlying operational issues that lead to non-compliance and has assisted clients with retooling processes to ensure future compliance. She has done extensive work related to Corporate Integrity Agreements including annual compliance, billing and/or systems reviews and mandatory training. Prior to co-founding BlickenWolf LLC, Ms. Wolf was a Senior Manager for Deloitte & Touche. Ms. Wolf is a registered nurse and former manager of the Milwaukee Heart Institute.
