Milwaukee, WI (November 22, 2004)—BlickenWolf LLC, held its quarterly S.E. Wisconsin Compliance Officer’s Discussion Forum on Thursday, December 2, 2004, from 7:30 am to 9:00 am at Children’s Hospital and Health System in the Executive Conference Room, 9000 W Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee. BlickenWolf principal Carmen Wolf led a discussion comparing auditing and monitoring.
Healthcare fraud is the third most common type of fraud in the United States behind corporate fraud and government corruption. To address growing concerns and changing compliance regulations, BlickenWolf is offering these meetings to provide a forum where compliance officers can share ideas, concerns, and best practices.
Carmen Wolf has extensive experience conducting and managing a broad range of healthcare investigations as well as providing fraud awareness and prevention methods to clients. Ms. Wolf specializes in assisting providers with risk assessments as part of the overall development and implementation of corporate compliance programs. She has consistently helped clients identify underlying operational issues that lead to non-compliance and has assisted clients with retooling processes to ensure future compliance. She has done extensive work related to Corporate Integrity Agreements including annual compliance, billing and/or systems reviews and mandatory training. Prior to co-founding BlickenWolf LLC, Ms. Wolf was a Senior Manager for Deloitte & Touche. Ms. Wolf is a registered nurse and former manager of the Milwaukee Heart Institute.
