Compliance Policies and Procedures
Creating a compliance program requires documentation of policies and procedures to maintain it. Because compliance is complex and detailed, BlickenWolf tailors policies and procedures to meet the specific needs of the organization—which are often far reaching and broad.
Policy and Procedures Manuals are often the outcome of internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance programs. Policies and procedures usually include establishing the compliance program, including a Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics; the role of the compliance officer, management, and the organization’s board; protection of whistleblowers and a process for reporting inappropriate activity; ongoing auditing and monitoring; compliance education; and employee discipline.
We have also developed very specific compliance procedures for our clients related to coding and billing for several specialty areas including anesthesiology, perinatology, pharmacy, psychology, physical therapy to name a few.
